The first purpose of our Religious Education Program for children and youth is to create an atmosphere of trust and sharing
within our classes. To that end our teachers are dedicated to listening and nurturing our children.
A second purpose is to introduce the children to the values we hold important as Unitarians. To accomplish this we
use a number of different themes in our curricula which demonstrate and reflect these values. In recent years the themes have included: Peace, with an emphasis on personal conflict resolution; World Religions, honoring
the diversity of our world; the study of the seven Unitarian Principles; Appreciation of the Natural World and Life Issues for Teens, dealing with the stress and confusion our teens encounter in modern society.
